SUPPLY CHAIN TRENDS: INFECTION CONTROL

Supply chains impact the quality of heath care cost management and the patient experience.

Outbreaks and pandemics strain the heath care supply chain and affect key commodities such as PPE, Vaccines, etc. Infection prevention and control is a team effort. Infection control strategies range from patient-facing staff adhering to proper hand hygiene procedures, to proper sourcing and use of instruments by physicians and liquid medical waste management.
