Outbreaks and pandemics strain the heath care supply chain and affect key commodities such as PPE, Vaccines, etc. Infection prevention and control is a team effort. The entire health care facility is involved and that includes the supply chain. Infection control strategies range from patient-facing staff adhering to proper hand hygiene procedures, to proper sourcing and use of instruments by physicians and liquid medical waste management.
